The International Student Center, highlighted on the map below, is located on the west side of campus, north of Peterson Gym, on the corner of 55th Street and Aztec Circle Drive. 15 Special Permit parking spaces are available at the Center for group events. Short term permits are available at the Center for off campus visitors.

Directions to ISC

• Exit I-8 at College Avenue (southbound).
• Follow College Avenue south to the third light at Montezuma Road.
• Turn right and follow Montezuma Road two blocks west to 55th Street.
• Turn right on 55th Street and follow it north to the fourth traffic light at Remington Road.
• Turn right and proceed straight to stop sign.
• Proceed straight. ISC is on your right. Turn right into Parking Lot V.
• Please remember that parking permits are required at all times on campus. Click here for parking information.

Comment : As you can see above, SDSU is one of the largest universities in California. Especially, SDSU is famous for research, Business, international fields, and Language Institute. Business major is very competitive and popular. SDSU has some very unique majors like my major, ISCOR(International Security and Conflict Resolution). SDSU had so many study abroad programs so you can see a lot of exchange students or international students on campus. ALI(American Language Institute) is known as the institute which has great programs.

SDSU recently increase their tuigion fee, so now for international student it’s unbelievably expensive… (BUT compared to Private Universities it is much cheaper… ) I am sad that we don’t really have scholarship.. we need SCHOLARSHIP ;)

American friends used so many slang words and speak so fast, it was hard to completely understand what they’re saying. Also, it was hard to make American friends. However, my friend introduced me AKPsi which is a business fraternity. I could say it chaged my life in America. I met so many people and they helped me a lot. I didn’t have a car and they were always willing to give me a ride, we had so many exciting activities like ropes course, broomball, retreat, carwash(for fundraising), BBQ party and company tour, etc. Besides, it was business one so I learned how to build my resume, improve my public speech skill and interview skill. We don’t have fraternity and sorority in my country so it was pretty new concept to me. Nevertheless,  it was a AWESOME experience. I met my best friends there, too. All my rommates are from this organization. If you want adventure, well, now go for it! I would say again, joinging the organization on campus is the best way to adjust campus and America.

Hi~ Everyone! I will tell you little bit of myself.  My name is Semi Yoon and I am from South Korea. I have been in States for about a year. I came to San Diego last summer as an exchange student from Chung-Ang University in Korea. It was an exchange student program in CAU(My Korean University) but at the same time it was one of the programs in ALI(Semester at SDSU).  My major is ISCOR(International Security and Conflict Resolution).  I was interested in international relations and development area and I want to work for the United Nations in the future so when I found this unique major I decided to transfer to here. In this year Fall 2009 I got accepted to SDSU as a transfer student. Anyway, I love to meet new people and new culture & language. I am an outgoing person and I smile most of my day My friends sometimes say ”Stop smiling!” to me but I want to be a person who can make other people smile. From now on, I will tell you about my life in SD and several tips about adjusting in SDSU or US  little by little.
